EDU 115 - Teaching Mathematics for Educators This course introduces students to effective methods for teaching mathematics in educational settings. Students will examine how children develop mathematical understanding and learn strategies for planning and delivering engaging, standards-aligned math instruction. Emphasis is placed on addressing diverse learning needs, providing appropriate supports and modifications, and building students’ confidence in problem-solving. The course also includes review and practice of foundational math skills to strengthen students’ own proficiency in preparation for state certification exams such as the Para Pro.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of EDU 101 , a grade of “C” or higher in EDU 101
