HUM 170 - Business Ethics
This course introduces philosophical theories of ethics and applies them to analyze modern business dilemmas through case studies and collaborative learning. Students examine issues of corporate social responsibility, discrimination, sustainability, data privacy, and the responsible use of emerging technologies through the lenses of moral frameworks such as utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, and social contract theory. The course also aims to foster greater cultural awareness by engaging respectfully with students’ diverse lived experiences in relation to ethical business practices and more inclusive organizational structures.
Prerequisite(s): Placement in ENG 111
