Project Management Certificate


This certificate builds practical skills in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and team leadership to guide projects from initiation to close in any industry. Designed with employer needs in mind, the program emphasizes coordination, cost control, risk management, stakeholder communication, and quality using current software and real-world cases. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Project Coordinator, Scheduler, Operations Supervisor, or Analyst, with knowledge that transfers across sectors and stacks toward further academic credentials. Coursework applies to the Associate in General Studies and may transfer to bachelor’s programs. Flexible, learner-centered delivery and multilingual support help working adult students succeed and advance.

Students who complete this certificate will be able to:

  • Apply core project management frameworks (e.g., scope, time, cost, quality, risk, procurement, stakeholders) across the full lifecycle from initiation to closing.
  • Build integrated project plans including scope statements, WBS, schedules (Gantt/critical path), budgets, risk registers, resource allocations, and quality controls.
  • Use project management software and collaboration platforms (e.g., scheduling, dashboards, issue/risk logs) to track progress, manage changes, and maintain audit trails.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools responsible for planning, task breakdown, schedule/budget forecasting, risk identification, documentation, and meeting summaries with human oversight, accuracy checks, and ethical safeguards.
  • Lead teams using facilitation, motivation, conflict resolution, and inclusive collaboration practices aligned to project goals and constraints.
  • Communicate status and outcomes through clear stakeholder updates, visuals, and data-informed reports tailored to audience needs.
  • Demonstrate bilingual or multilingual business communication skills to manage projects in diverse, global business settings.
