Digital Marketing Certificate

This certificate builds job-ready skills in social media strategy, content production, SEO/SEM, and analytics to launch or advance a career in digital marketing. Through hands-on projects with current platforms and tools, students blend creative storytelling with data-driven decision-making to meet employer needs. Graduates gain experience in brand voice, content calendars, paid/organic campaigns, and performance reporting. This program prepares roles such as Digital Marketing Coordinator, Social Media Manager, or Content Creator. Coursework applies to the Associate in General Studies and may transfer to bachelor’s programs. Flexible, learner-centered delivery and multilingual support help working adult students succeed and advance.

Program Learning Outcomes

Students who complete this certificate will be able to:

  • Develop entry-level marketing plans that align target audiences, value propositions, and the 4Ps with measurable objectives.
  • Design and manage social media strategies, including audience research, content calendars, community management, and A/B tests and evaluate results against KPIs.
  • Use core digital platforms and tools (SEO/SEM basics, GA4-style analytics, email/automation dashboards) to optimize reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Apply generative AI tools responsibly for research, copy and visual ideation, and workflow acceleration, maintaining human oversight, accuracy checks, and bias/ethics safeguards.
  • Produce professional, accessible marketing assets (copy, visuals, and short-form video) tailored to diverse and multilingual audiences.
  • Follow ethical, legal, and platform rules (like privacy, intellectual property, FTC disclosures, and transparency) for digital campaigns and share results using clear, data-based presentations.
