ECE 230 - Practicum This practicum provides students with supervised, hands-on experience in an early childhood education setting under the mentorship of an approved supervising educator. Through direct interaction with children, planning and implementing developmentally-appropriate experiences, observation and reflection, students will apply the theories, strategies, and best practices they have studied in previous coursework. The course meets the experiential requirement of the Massachusetts EEC Teacher and Lead Teacher certification pathways and supports students in developing professional competence, ethical practice, and readiness for roles working with children birth through age 5.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of ECE103, ECE104, ECE 107 /ECE 114 , ECE110 and PRO101EC, a grade C or higher in ECE 104
