MGT 201 - Project Management I This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles, methodologies, and best practices of project management. Students will learn the fundamental concepts, tools, and techniques used in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects across various industries and organizational settings. The course covers topics such as project lifecycle management, scope and requirements definition, risk assessment, resource allocation, stakeholder management, and project communication strategies. Emphasis is placed on developing practical skills in project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, quality control, and team leadership. Through case studies, hands-on exercises, and the use of project management software, students will gain experience in applying project management methodologies to real-world scenarios, fostering their ability to manage projects effectively and deliver successful outcomes.
Prerequisite(s): Placement in ENG 101 or higher for English section
