NTS 101L - Biology of Human Health Laboratory
This 1-credit laboratory course is designed to complement NTS 101: Biology of Human Health by providing students with virtual online experience investigating the biological processes that support human health and prevent disease. Through a series of interactive laboratory exercises and experiments, students will explore the structure and function of major human body systems, including the circulatory, respiratory, excretory, digestive, reproductive, nervous, skeletal, and muscular systems. Activities will emphasize diagnostic techniques commonly used in health sciences, such as vital sign measurement, analysis of respiratory and cardiovascular function, nutritional assessment, and basic laboratory safety. Students will also engage in case studies and collaborative projects to reinforce scientific reasoning and apply theoretical concepts to real-world health scenarios. No previous laboratory experience is required.
