SOC 203 - Introduction to Criminal Justice This course provides an introduction to the criminal justice system, including its basic component parts: policing, the courts system, and corrections. It will also examine society’s response to crime. Primary focus will be placed on criminal justice in the United States, and the balance of the rights of individuals with the need to maintain public order. Students will evaluate our current system and propose ways to shape the system to meet the needs of our society.
