PSY 115 - Counseling Methods and Interviewing Techniques This course reviews a number of theories and practices in counseling individuals and groups in multiple contexts. Various theoretical approaches to counseling are explored and practical exercises in interviewing and counseling methods will be provided. Counseling settings include the workplace and the manager’s roles in providing coaching, mentoring, counseling, and traditional mental health settings. Special focus is placed on the impact of social and cultural dynamics.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 100 , Placement in ENG 101 or higher for English section
