HUS 205 - Community Advocacy: From Knowledge to Action




This course builds on the knowledge that students gained in Foundations in Community Advocacy and Leadership, HUS 203 , and hones the skills needed to be an effective advocate in their internship placement, their home, their workplace, their community, and beyond. This class will explore topics such as community organizing, leadership reflection and development, advocacy campaign strategies, and the use of data and media. These topics will be paired with hands-on practice both in-class, through an individual project, and in Fellow’s Community Advocacy internship placement.
